Hero of the Month
Rescue Dog · Service Animal
Trooper's story began on the street. A Belgian Malinois who spent much of the first year of his life surviving on his own, he arrived wary of people, uncertain of affection, and still learning which parts of his new world were safe. What Trooper needed wasn't someone to change him. He needed someone willing to understand him. With patience, trust, and training, the nervous young dog began to reveal an extraordinary desire to work. Today, Trooper is a fully trained service animal. The dog who once depended entirely on himself now stands beside his handler with confidence, purpose, and a family of his own.
